They were criticised, they were insulted and even trolled after the two losses. Now even with one win, the pressure is still on team India. This is no time for celebration but preparations according to former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag.

According to him the 4th Test match at Southampton will be a ‘do or die’ match for the #1 team. He is optimistic and is giving team India a chance to prove themselves but only if they play like they did at Trent Bridge.

The last time a team had won a Test series after having the odds against them was team Australia under the captaincy of Sir Don Bradman. While on an interview with IndiaTV, the veteran said that India has to win the 4th match if they want to win the series. If they don’t then the only thing left will be to bring the series to a draw.

Sehwag added that it is not an impossible task. All India has to do is keep the pressure. The stunning performance by the batsmen and bowlers led to the victory at Trent Bridge. The same needs to be repeated. It will be very hard, but not impossible. After winning the last match, India cannot take things easy. Just like India came back after two losses, England can and will do the same.

With the long-awaited victory in hand and captain Virat back at the top rank after scoring 200 runs in the third Test match, things do look optimistic for team Inda. Keeping this in mind, Sehwag also commented on the captain.

Sehwag said that getting to that rank is a huge achievement but for Virat, it should be nothing. Virat’s goals should be bigger. Virat should try to reach Tendulkar’s 100 centuries and help and lead his team to victories.
