Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah feels that off-spinner R Ashwin will play a more crucial role in the second innings of the Adelaide Test. He also feels that India are in a good position in this Test match.
The right-hand pacer said that Ashwin will obviously play a more crucial role because with the rough.
He noted that they saw Nathan Lyon using the rough to his advantage.
Bumrah explained that Ashwin is an experienced bowler and knows what he has to do. So he will probably work on it and he will play a crucial role for sure.
When asked about the match situation, he said that he thinks it is slightly in India’s favour. He admitted that the late wicket of Kohli was a good thing for Australia but he feels that they have a good lead.
According to Bumrah, the first session on Sunday will be very important and if India capitalizes on that, that will leave India in a very good place in this match.
The Indian cricketer was asked the reason behind his success. To this, he replied there is no secret. He explained that he tries to ask questions to players who have played in Australia before, or wherever they have played.
He noted that in England when he was not playing, he was bowling in the nets and was keeping an eye on what was happening. So he tries to copy that in the nets.
He mentioned that before South Africa, he was consistently playing one-day cricket. He was bowling and there were a lot of overs under his belt.

The Indian bowler revealed that he always tries to learn and always try to ask questions. He tries and keeps an eye on the opposition as well, what is working for them, maybe try and learn from them.
According to Bumrah, all these things always help you – do your research, do your homework, keep an eye on the lengths of the different grounds and different players, what they do.
