Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has responded strongly to the trolling he received after posting a photo on Instagram. Dhawan made a statement on Instagram and said that the team is also hurt the way fans are. He said that the team gives their best for the nation but it is important for the team that they are in the good mindset before the next game.

After India lost the fourth Test and also the series 3-1 to England, Dhawan had posted a picture of Indian players have a laugh.

In this picture, Dhawan and Hardik Pandya were seen having some fun along with Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant. However, some fans didn’t like this post and instead, they criticized Dhawan and other Indian cricketers for losing the Test series.

India has lost three of the four Tests player so far in this Test series and Dhawan’s performance, in particular, has been abysmal. The opening batsman has managed to score 158 runs in six innings and has failed to even score a single fifty.

Ahead of the fifth Test, the Indian opener responded strongly to all this criticism. He wrote the following message to address all the negative comments the post received.

“People who have been writing negative stuff. We are also hurt d way u guys are. It is important to learn from our mistakes and move forward. We give our best for d nation everytime when we walk on the ground and most important thing is asteam we should be in good mindset before the next game. We cannot change d past .So we do our hard wrk at ground as alwysnd keep our process strong. After practise important to laugh nd be happy so we create positivity in d team. Thats what champions do.Easy to be happy when winning. Warriors stay positive when things are down too. Thanks to d fans who still supporting us !!.”

Through this response, Dhawan has tried to bring the focus back on the on-going fifth Test match of the series where India restricted England to 198 for seven wickets at stumps on day one. n
