PAK Playing 11: Pakistan will face England in the second ODI of the series with an aim to level the series here at Lord’s. The visitors will be disappointed with their performance in the last match. The batting faltered and just couldn’t get going. The bowlers too were unable create any impression and England chased down the target with ease. Pakistan will be under pressure to win and need their main players to perform. England leads the head-to-head record in ODIs 54-32. In the ICC ODI Rankings, England are 3rd while Pakistan are at 6th spot.

Team News

  • Haris Sohail has been ruled out of the series with a grade three hamstring tear that he suffered during training before the series. Rest of the squad is available for selection.
  • Despite losing the last match, Pakistan are likely to go with the same combination.

Pakistan’s top three have done well for them over the years. They will expect them to give a good start this time. Babar Azam will be the key once again. Sohaib Maqsood looked in excellent touch but was unfortunately run-out. He will look to get a big score this time. Apart from Shaheen Afridi, the bowling lacked discipline. Legspinner Shadab Khan’s form with the ball is another worry for the visiting team.
