IND vs SL: Sri Lanka team is currently experiencing a disappointing run in international cricket. The Kusal Perera-led team suffered a humiliating 0-3 T20I series whitewash in England and also lost the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The Island nation failed to win a single match during the five completed white-ball fixtures in England. Most importantly, Sri Lanka has struggled to find a permanent captain in recent times.

IND vs SL: Dasun Shanaka New Sri Lanka Captain

Under the captaincy of Kusal Perera, the Lankan Lions have succumbed to seven losses out of their nine white-ball matches. However, according to a report mentioned in a leading Sri Lanka news publication, The Papare, Dasun Shanaka is all set to replace Perera as the new Sri Lanka captain for the upcoming India series. In his previous captaincy reign, the Shanaka-led team defeated Pakistan 3-0 in the 2019 T20I series. However, the all-rounder is yet to captain Sri Lanka in 50-overs cricket.
