India will begin their World Cup campaign by locking horns against South Africa on June 05 at Southampton. After that, Kohli and Co will face all remaining teams from the top ten.

India are set to play a five mach ODI series against Australia in the next month and this series is seen as a preparation for the World Cup.

Gavaskar feels England are the favourites

A few days back, Sunil Gavaskar had stated that England are the favourites for the ICC tournament and not India. He had said that the strong favourites in the World Cup tournament are England. And it is not because of the fact that it will be a home World Cup for them. But because they have changed their attitude towards ODI cricket.

At the same time he had made it clear that one advantage India have is that they have played in England for two consecutive years and thus the players who will be part of the World Cup squad will be aware of the conditions, and hence will be able to use their experience. Probably, India can use the factor to lift the World Cup.
