Team India hasn’t done well in Australia in their recent tours but former South African cricketer AB de Villiers feels that Indian team has a good chance in next year’s Australia tour.

While elaborating on India’s chances of winning in Australia, the former cricket player said that India have got to take the opportunity, especially going to Australia.

He noted that if you slip first Test match there, it becomes a snowball. According to the right-hand batsman, actually anywhere in the world, the minute you are playing away from home, the way you start is very important.

The South-African batsman pointed out that India slipped in South Africa and England and it snowballed into a series loss.

de Villiers stresses on the fitness of fast bowlers

At the same time, de Villiers also focused on the fitness of fast bowlers. He stated that going to Australia now, if India can keep the fast bowlers fit then they have a very good chance.

He admitted that he saw some of the guys were not hundred per cent fit during the tour of England.

The aggressive batsman believes that if India can get all the fast bowlers ready, if not the best, they are one of the best bowling attacks in the world at the moment. He added that everyone knows what the batting unit of India is capable of.

India played better cricket in South Africa: de Villiers

Speaking about India’s past performances, the former cricketer reminded everyone that India came to South Africa and probably played better cricket but lost 1-2.

He admitted that India lost in England now but he noted that once again the first Test was on a knife’s edge and could have gone either way, which would have changed the whole complexion of the series.
