SA Playing 11: South Africa will play Ireland in the first T20I of the series here at Dublin (Malahide). After suffering a shocking defeat to the hosts, South Africa came back strongly in the final ODI to level the series. They showed great application with the bat which they will look to continue here. SA will also be aware of the threat that Ireland possesses in these conditions. With ICC World T20 approaching, this will be a great opportunity to test some players. This will be the first ever T20I played between these two teams.

Team News

Few changes are expected for South Africa as they will look to try out some different combinations before the T20 World Cup.

  • David Miller is likely to replace Kyle Verreynne.
  • George Linde and Dwaine Pretorius can get a game here.
  • Kagiso Rabada can replace Phehlukwayo from the last match.
