MS Dhoni has regained form and that too in style. He has scored three fifties in three games in 2019 and has won India the series against Australia with his calm approach. But his performance has also raised the question about his ideal batting position as he batted at number four and five in the ODI series against Australia. Indian captain Virat Kohli addressed this issue and revealed Dhoni’s batting position for the world cup.

Virat Kohli reveals Dhoni’s batting position

The Indian captain stated in the post match press conference that Dhoni batted at No.4 in 2016 for a while but after that, he has been pretty happy batting at No.5 and No.6 for the team.

Kohli said that he personally feel that No.5 is the best-suited spot for Dhoni. It allows him to do the both – get some game time and finish games off and attack as in when required.

Kohli revealed that he and the management discussed that No.5 was the ideal position for him. And according to Kohli if you saw him bat at Adelaide, he was pretty comfortable batting at that position and was more himself in that game.

Dhoni the finisher is back

After going through a lean patch in 2018, the Indian wicket-keeper has rediscovered his mojo in 2019. He scored a composed fifty in the first game but India lost the match.
