Hardik feels he can still play Tests against Australia

The Indian cricketer was speaking with an English newspaper ahead of the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Baroda.

Currently India A team is playing in New Zealand but instead of playing for India A, Hardik opted to play for Baroda. When asked about this decision he explained that he picked this Ranji Trophy game over India ‘A’, because he wants to play Tests.

He pointed out that there is a chance that if he does well and the team requires him, he might be picked for the third and fourth Tests in Australia. He stated that he wanted to test his fitness in a four-day game, rather than a One-day, because this would exactly give him an idea of where he stands.
