Shubman Gill showed his impressive form against Chennai Super Kings when Kolkata Knight Riders secured a six-wicket on Thursday.

With Nitish Rana ruled out due to injury, the youngster was promoted up the order by the team management.

He played a knock of unbeaten 57 off 36 balls and shared an 83 runs partnership with Dinesh Karthik.

Shubman Gill was bestowed with the title of Man of the Tournament for his dominant batting in the U-19 World Cup which was held earlier this year.

But Gill recalls one his one knock of unbeaten 102 against Pakistan as a special one. Gill blasted seven fours in his knock.

Punjab had scored an unbeaten 102 off 94 balls. Gill smashed seven fours in his blistering knock against considerable pressure.

Gill, however, went on to reveal that his innings was more difficult than what it looked from the outside.

Not just because of the quality of opposition, but because of the constant sledging by the Pakistani players. But he was happy that the pressure motivated him to perform well in the match.
