During the final match, something that could never have been predicted happened, the middle-order batsmen helped the team. Team India has been struggling with the middle-order for quite some time but this match showed they could handle the pressure and knew their responsibility after the top order collapsed
Post-match, captain Rohit said that they played some good cricket all throughout the entire tournament. The entire team performed well and their hard work was rewarded in the end. Rohit himself credited the middle order for being able to handle the pressure. It was because of the middle order that they crossed the finish line and praised their fantastic effort.

Rohit even praised the opposing team Bangladesh for their fighting spirit. He even admitted that team Bangladesh put India under pressure during the first 10 overs. Rohit also praised the remaining players who carried the team to victory.
He may have been on the losing side, but his 121 means that he's the Player of the Match.
