Mumbai have received a sigh of relief ahead of their match against RCB in IPL 2019. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has regained fitness and will most probably feature in the match. However there are still doubts over Lasith Malinga’s availability.

Bumrah bowls in practice session

Jasprit Bumrah had injured his left shoulder in the match against Delhi. However the team management had confirmed that the injury isn’t serious and he will recover soon.

Fortunately for the team, Bumrah has recovered quickly and was spotted practising in Mumbai’s training session on Tuesday. On Wednesday he put to bet all remaining doubts by bowling in the nets.

Malinga’s availability doubtful

Lasith Malinga was supposed to be available only for a few matches for Mumbai was he was going to participate in domestic cricket tournament in Sri Lanka.

However an intervention  by BCCI has forced Sri Lanka Cricket Board to permit Malinga to play in the IPL for a longer duration. The pacer has arrived in India but the team management may consider him for selection only after the second match.

Malinga has become critical for Mumbai especially after Adam Milne pulled out of the tournament due to an injury.
