SL vs IND, 2nd ODI: Manish Pandey Run Out in most unfortunate manner

The Indian team is on a tour to Sri Lanka and there had been many speculations regarding the players who can make debut for the Indian team. But none of the 6 players who were named in the squad were given opportunity until the 2nd ODI. The wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan made his ODI debut in 1st ODI and scored a half-century. This series will also be an audition for the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place later this year.

Manish Pandey run-out in Unfortunate manner

The middle-order batsman Manish Pandey has been consistent run-scorers for the past few years in the domestic circuit. But has to warm the bench in the international circuit due to the inconsistency to score big and competition with other players.

In the SL vs IND 2nd ODI, the Sri Lanka team posted a total of 275 runs, In reply, the Indian team lost early wickets which put pressure on a relatively inexperienced team. But Manish Pandey and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a partnership of 50 runs to strengthen the team’s position to chase down the score. But in the 18th over of the India’s innings, Yadav tried to glide the ball straight but it hit Shanaka’s hands and ultimately the wickets and Pandey was caught well behind the crease. But his innings of 37 off 31 balls proved to be a help to the team in winning the match.

Changes expected in SL vs IND 3rd ODI?

The Indian team would look to include 2-3 debutants in the SL vs IND 3rd ODI. The 6 players, Padikkal, Gaikwad, Rana, Sakariya, Gowtham, and Varun Chakravarthy will also be in-line for India debut.

Sanju Samson: The wicket-keeper batsman can come in place of Ishan Kishan due to his experience and capabilities.

Devdutt Padikkal: The opener has been terrific performer in the domestic circuit and the IPL and can get an opportunity as an opener.
