Sri Lanka vs India: Ishan Kishan Reveals the Secret of his First Ball Six on Chahal TV

The wicket-keeper batsman from Jharkhand, Ishan Kishan has been impressive in his early international stint. The confidence factor among the new generation players is quite evident due to the Indian Premier League. They warm shoulders with overseas superstars. In his 1st T20I, he scored a half century against England, while was successful in hitting 50 in his debut ODI against Sri Lanka yesterday.

The debutant was quite terrific with 59 off 42 balls in the 1st ODI of the Indian tour of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka team posted 262 runs on the board, which was a below par total on a belter pitch. Then, the Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw provided a brilliant start to the team. After Shaw got dismissed by scoring 43 off 24 balls, Ishan Kishan came at no.3. He lit the ground with his ball-striking capabilities. In the very first ball of his innings, Ishan hit a six that gave him added confidence for the rest of the innings.

Ishan told Chahal on Chahal TV, “Mujhe pata tha wicket mein zyada help nai hai spinners ko….Toh mujhe pata tha ki abhi sahi mauka hai. Main toh aaplog ko bol ke bhi gaya tha ki main pehla ball chakka maarne wala hun…Chahe bowler koi bhi ho aur kahi bhi pheke. (I knew wicket wasn’t helping the spinners, hence, I took my chance. I had already told you guys that irrespective of the bowler and wherever he pitches, I will go for the big shot first ball this evening).

Sri Lanka vs India

The Indian team looked quite strong as compared to the home team. The bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings, and the Sri Lanka team have to pull their socks in both departments and perform well to level the ODI series.
