After losing out to Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1, the Delhi Capitals decided to completely regroup themselves. They changed the batting order and dropped young Prithvi Shaw and even send in big Marcus Stoinis to open the innings like what he usually does in the Big Bash for the Melbourne Stars. He did full justice to his role, but as and when he was entering his top gear, spin magician bowled a peach of a delivery to dismiss him. He also gave Stoinis a fiery sendoff in the process.

In the desperate need to change their fortunes around, Delhi Capitals decided to drop their young Indian opener, Prithvi Shaw, for this much important Qualifier 2. He was replaced by Marcus Stoinis at the top of the order today. As expected owing to his BBL stint as an opener, Stoinis went all guns blazing yet again. Opening the batting alongside Shikhar Dhawan he scored a quickfire 38 runs in just 27 balls. And right when he was looking to accelerate even further, David Warner decided to give the ball to his most trusted bowler Rashid Khan. Bowling the second ball of the 9th over Rashid bowled a straight delivery which angled in towards the off stump. Stoinis was completely bamboozled by that delivery. It took a slight outside edge and took the top of off-stump. This wicket had come in at a time when SRH was desperately looking for one. And rightly so Rashid took down all his frustration on Stoinis and gave him a fiery send-off.

Shikhar Dhawan steadies the ship for DC

After getting out for a duck in Qualifier 1, Shikhar Dhawan went all guns blazing today in the qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He scored a well placed 78 of 50 balls to take DC to a comfortable total. His innings included 2 maximums and 5 boundaries. Eventually, this innings helped them to edge over SRH to book a place in the finals,
