India

India had a great outing as a batting unit in their last encounter against England with the openers in Mandhana and Raj (53), as the Women in Blue registered their highest total of 4-198 in 20 overs. But it is their bowling that lacked any venom as England strolled to a seven-wicket win over the hosts. Pooja Vastrakar, who replaced Dhar was expensive, so were the other bowlers with Yadav, Patil, Kaur all conceding in excess of ten runs an over. The subsequent match against Australia saw them being blown away by a Megh Schutt hat-trick. With three losses on the bounce, India Women have been knocked out of the tournament and will play with English in a bid to restore some pride
