Windies vs England Playerzpot Prediction 2nd ODI Preview, Team News, Playing 11

After winning the first ODI against Windies, now England will be eyeing second win when they meet Windies in Barbados. England exhibited sheer class in the first ODI as they chased down 360 runs to hand over Windies a defeat by six wickets in the first ODI. Backing on a blistering century by ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle, Windies posted a mammoth total in front of the visitors but Jason Roy scored 123 runs off 85 balls to help the team chase down the total with ease.

England also registered the record of the fourth-highest successful chase in the history of One Day Internationals in the first ODI and they would look forward to setting yet another milestone when they meet the hosts for the next ODI. For Windies, Chris Gayle and Shai Hope carried their team to a total of 360 as they posted a total of 360 runs. Gayle was recalled into the ODI side ahead of the World Cup and he made the comeback worthwhile.

Since 2015 World Cup England have posted huge totals on many occasions but they have never managed to chase a 350-plus total. Hence, this chase would go down in history as a memorable one for England. This time when both the teams meet, while England would aim to continue their stellar form before heading for the World Cup, Windies would aim to get across the line and hand over the visitors a loss in the second ODI.

Confident Morgan hails his team

“We bat very deep. The manner we started was commendable. Jason and Jonny were class apart. We played with ease and didn’t feel the pressure at any stage,” Morgan said.

I will set the trend for you, says Gayle

Gayle has announced his retirement from international One Day cricket after 2019 World Cup. “England should invite me over. I will set trend for you just the way I did in all the tournaments around the world,” he said.
