Rumana Ahmed started her international journey of cricket in the year 2011, where she played her career’s first One- day international match against Ireland at Savar, Bangladesh. One year later on August 28, 2012, she made her T20I debut against the same Ireland women’s cricket team. She was also the part of the Bangladesh team when it won its first-ever Women’s Asia Cup title in 2018.
Progressing her performance, in the same year of 2012, after some months she got selected in Bangladesh’s squad for 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier series. In that very series, she was the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh with ten wickets in five matches.
She has played 35 ODI matches till date in which she has scored 734 runs and has taken 37 wickets whereas in T20I Rumana has played 50 matches and took 44 wickets and made 570 runs.
Rumana Ahmed was also a member of the squad which won the silver medal in cricket against China national women’s cricket team at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. She performed really well with both bat and bowl.
