ISL 2018: Chennaiyin FC sign Indian Under-17 stars

ISL side Chennaiyin FC started scouting the talent from the domestic range, and they have signed the young DNA of Indian football. They have signed the under-17 World cup fame Deepak Tangri, Rahim Ali and Abhijit Sarkar.

The Under-17 FIFA World Cup’s Indian contingent has got the utmost attention of the franchise leagues, so does Chennaiyin FC. The three promising talent are also supposed to be loaned back to Indian Arrows.

The three young guns have signed a three-year deal with South Indian team. This deal allows these three to play for Indian Arrows as well. It is an excellent initiative attempted by both the clubs as the footballers will get the experience of playing in both the home leagues which will escalate the experience in them.

Who is Deepak Tangri?

Deepak Tangri is a central defender and versatile enough to play as a defensive midfielder. He scored the first goal in the famous victory over Argentina in U-20. He is 19 years old recently turned professional. He is the first choice for India Under-19 teams and Indian Arrows where he made 13 appearances for the Indian Arrows in I-League.

Who is Abhijit Sarkar?

The must-have for Chennaiyin FC, Abhijit is an attacking midfielder and versatile enough to play a supporting striker. He was the most impressive player of the Indian Arrows. The 18-year old from Bengal was the highest scorer of the I-League’s last season with four goals.

Who is Rahim Ali?

Rahim Ali is an aspiring striker, plays for Indian Arrows. He made 17 appearances for the domestic club in the I-League which is a great achievement. He was clubbed with Aniket Jadhav in the I-League which was supposed to be the biggest threat for the defenders as a duo.

The trio are supposed to strengthen the squad of the Chennaiyin FC in the upcoming ISL 2018-2019
