Egypt will be very ecstatic after the news that Mohammad Salah is declared fit and will be featuring in their opening against Uruguay. This will be a battle of two Group-A teams which also includes Saudi Arabia and the hosts Russia.
There is no doubt in the potential of Uruguay, they are arguably the best team in Group-A. having won the coveted title twice in their history does make them a vulnerable side. Their attacking football is the key to their success and with the likes of Diego Godin and Jose Giminez they have a great balance in their squad. This will most probably the last World Cup for Luis Suarez and he would love to make the most of it and put behind his World Cup antics (2010, handball which denied the goal and 2014, biting).
For Egypt, Mohammad Salah is arguably their back bone, he is the person responsible to make this team enter the FIFA World Cup after a lengthy wait of 28 years. He is the mainstay for this team and if he performs to his potential in this year’s edition it won’t be a surprise that Egypt make it to the last eight.
