Dushmantha Chameera is a Sri Lankan express fast bowler who plays for the national side in all three formats. The 6 feet tall bowler impressed in the domestic circuit with his ability to rush batsmen with sheer pace. He entered the international arena as a national call-up arrived in 2015. In May 2018, he was one of 33 cricketers to be offered a central contract by Sri Lanka Cricket. Injuries have so far hampered his career. His favorite cricketer is Brett Lee.
Chameera made his ODI debut versus New Zealand on 29 January 2015. Sri Lanka went on to win the match, and Ross Taylor was his first scalp. The pacer was selected for the 2015 Cricket World Cup Down Under. His test debut came in June 2015 as the island nation hosted Pakistan. He earned his first T20I cap on 9 November 2015 against West Indies.
