Obed McCoy is a left-arm fast bowler from West Indies who burst on to the scene for West Indies in the 2016 U-19 World Cup, where the Windies were crowned champions after defeating India in the final.
In the year 2017, he was picked up by the St Lucia Zouks in West Indian domestic league (CPL). He has been a part of the Zouks since then. He was then part of the West Indies B team in the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada Tournament. He ended up as the highest wicket for his team in the tournament. He was then called up for his international debut against India in October 2018. He has 4 wickets to his name from the two ODIs. He later made his T20 debut against England in 2019 and has one wicket to his name.
In the year 2019, he was ruled out of the CPL following an injury. He was replaced by the third-highest wicket-taker of the tournament, Krishmar Santokie. He is currently a part of the CPL 2020 and plays for the St. Lucia Zouks.
