Vinesh Phogat is the first Indian woman wrestler to win Gold in both Commonwealth and Asian games and also the First Indian Athlete to be Nominated for Laureus World Sports Awards to be held on February 18, 2019.

Vinesh Phogat Sisters: Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari are Vinesh’s cousin sister. Her cousin, Ritu Phogat is also an international level wrestler and has won Gold medal at the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship.
