Guru Raaj WWE : India has been known as the land of mat wrestling and akharas. We have seen wrestlers like Dara Singh, Gama pehlwan and off late the likes of Jeet Rama and Great Khali. It has never been known for high flyers.
Guru Raaj however looks to change that. He showcased his highflying and quick offence against the former NXT champion Finn Balor in the Superstar Spectacle and there is a lot that is expected from this star. The cruiserweight division is stacked right now and it is going to take a lot for him to be among the major players but he is certainly headed in the right direction.
Guru Raaj is from India and is one of those who got his contract in the 2019 tryouts. He is currently based out of Orlando Florida but is originally from Banda in India. He has been trained by the Great Khali as most of the Indian wrestlers are. He is among the very few Indian wrestlers who can perform over the top rope action.
Although there isn’t an account of his real age, we know that his real name is Laxmikant Rajpoot and he is a farmer. He fell sick just before his tryout for the WWE but it was his will and conviction and his abilities in the ring got him selected. He has since been training in the Performance Center and will be looking to make it big now that he has been complimented from the likes of Finn Balor.
Guru is very focused and has not made any information about his personal life public. His social media is full of his training videos and he really trains hard to be in shape for whenever the opportunity comes knocking. His first match however did get him some rap from the critics but the talent was there for everyone to see. He needs to work on his in ring abilities to be a constant feature on the WWE 205 brand or the NXT cruiserweight division. He is as he calls himself. The first high flyer from India.
