Nostragamus Table Tennis | TT Cup Prediction

Ukraine’s domestic Table Tennis competition is in full flow. It’s an open-age tournament, where players, irrespective of their age and experience level can rub shoulders against each other, though, players with Ukrainian citizenship are eligible to play in the tournament. That said, the players are here on merit, for all the existing participants had to go through tough qualifying rounds.

How does the tournament work?

With forty players drafted for the competition, it’s a long stretch, and a test of endurance and strength as each player has to play every other player once in the competition. A winner gets certain ratings, and the one with the most points wins the tournament!

Andriy Vielchev vs Yevgen Gorkavenko

Andriy Vielchev will be taking on Yevgen Gorkavenko in this game. On paper, this is an odd match-up as Vielchv is a toddler in front of Gorkavenko, with the former 2003 born, while the latter is a 65-year-old man. This may seem a complete mismatch, for the game requires agility and the quick hand-eye coordination, something you wouldn’t associate with the players of Gorkavenko’s age. But experience is something you can’t overlook, and he has his bag full with that aspect of the game and life as well.

Form:

Vielchev is on a two-game winning streak heading into this game. But the most important factor is the manner in which he won those games, with some of those games almost one-sides.

Gorkavenko, on the other hand, has lost the last four games, with on defeat seeing him failing to open the account.

So if you are going to choose the winner in this game, Vielchev is the player to go. So choose your options carefully but favour Vielchev.

Andrii Kotik vs Nazarii Gritsienko

Both these players are placed in Navy Blue group. This game offers perhaps the most balanced affair, at least on paper and before the start of the real action or this is the least we can conclude from their current form. Both the players won their last games and will be looking to add one more win to their tally.
