Watch: Virat Kohli shakes a leg during rain-affected 1st ODI against Windies

The first ODI between India and West Indies was called off due to rain but Virat Kohli paid off every penny of ticket bought by fans. In the first inning, only 13 overs could be bowled before rain put a stop to the match. The ODI match was reduced to 34 overs due to delay in the start of the game. But then again it started raining and the umpires finally decided to call off the game.

Team India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to field first against the hosts. In 13 overs Windies scored 54 runs in which Evin Lewis made 40 off 36 balls. Their opening batsman Chris Gayle was the only batsman to be dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav. So before the rain ruined the match West Indies score was 54/1 in 13 overs.

However, the fans were seemingly delighted by a sudden incident on the ground. The coolest Indian captain was seen enjoying the rain and doing some Caribbean-Indian moves. Virat’s mood was not dampened by the rain as he broke into a jig during the start of the play in Guyana. He was seen dancing various on the playlist of DJ. He even managed to rope in his former RCB companion Chris Gayle as they enjoyed their time in the middle of the game.

 

 

This ODI is India’s first 50-over assignment after the World Cup disappointment and the team is ready to take on the challenge especially after defeating the host country in the shortest format (T20I) of the game. The 2nd ODI between India and West Indies will take place on Sunday in Port of Spain.
