Pakistani cricketer, Mohammad Irfan has represented Pakistan in Test, ODI, and T20 cricket. standing tall at seven feet one inch, he is the tallest Pakistani cricketer in the history of international cricket. he is famous for his height and nicknamed as ‘lambu’. Irfan was passionate about cricket since his childhood but he was always suggested to play basketball because of his height.
Due to the lack of opportunities in his home town, Irfan had to quit playing cricket in order to support his family. He did a full-time job when former Pakistani bowler Aaqib Javed recognized his talent and got him enrolled in NCA. Soon he was called as a replacement for Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif.
Irfan has 5 brothers and 2 sisters and he is the youngest of them all and the first one to join the cricket team.
DEBUT
Former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram recommended Mohammad Irfan in Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) in the 2011 IPL Season. Although, he announced his selection in the team but did not play a match.
Irfan had played in the inaugural season of PSL 2016, in Islamabad United squad that emerged out as a Champion that year.
