Australian cricketer Sophie Molineux represents Australia in all three formats of the game. Ever since her childhood, this left-arm spinner was fond of cricket. Sophie’s father was the one who aroused her first love for the game. his father was her first coach and once they made a brilliant partnership of 140 runs.
australia’s former head Coach, John Harmer recognized her talent and trained her privately. She took 7 wickets for zero runs in primary school game at the age of 12 and had also scored 98 runs off 60 balls including 5 incredible sixes at 13. Moreover, she took a hat trick at U-18 VicSpirits Championship 2013. She is a graduate of Nagle College, Australia and was good at the academic front. Sophie plans to study occupational therapy ahead.
She was picked for the Commonwealth Bank tour to India in February 2019. Followed by a contract by Cricket Australia with an agreement for the 2019-20 season in April 2019.
DEBUT
In 2019, Sophie took a break from cricket to focus on her mental health.
In 2014, Sophie Molineux suffered a fracture in the back due to which she had to step back from the cricket. She also underwent shoulder surgery the same year.
