If someone defined the attitude-era of WWE, then the only name which comes into mind is ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Proudly raising his middle fingers in the faces of everyone who dared oppose him, Stone Cold was nothing short of a blue-collar warrior of the common man.
Austin was brash, ruthless and dared anyone to oppose him. When he used to walk down the isle at the sound of shattering glass, everyone arena knew it was time to raise hell.
Fondly known as the ‘Texas rattle-snake’, he started his wrestling career in 1990 as a part of USWA and a year later broke into WCW. He joined WWF/E in the year 1996 and became the ‘King of the Ring’ in the same year. He will forever be remembered for his epic on-screen rivalry with Vince McMahon. This rivalry indeed put WWF/E right at the top of the pro-wrestling map.
He recently made a return in WWE Raw on ‘3:16’ day at the WWE’s performance center to set the tone for the upcoming Wrestlemania 36. The mega event is scheduled for April 4th and 5th.
He isn’t active as a wrestler but makes appearances on WWE TV.
