Hardik Pandya hit wicket mi vs KKR ipl2020

All strange things have started happening in the greatest league of all time, Indian premier league. The latest incident being Hardik Pandya hitting his own stumps of the bowling of Andre Russell. Hardik Pandya was once again looking in ominous touch before this unfortunate incident.

MI started their innings with a bang as Rohit Sharma meant business right from the word go. Even though, their wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock got dismissed for just 1 run, the ever consistent and reliable SuryaKumar Yadav joined hands with his captain to help Mumbai get off to an excellent start.

Hardik Pandya dismissed in an unusual way

Hardik Pandya came into the field to bat when MI had 29 balls to complete their innings. It was already too late for a destructive batsman like Hardik Pandya. He did start cautiously by playing out the first four balls of Sunil Narine without taking any risk. He started accelerating from the very next over bowled by Pat Cummins where he hit 2 fours and a six.

It was expected that MI are heading towards a grand finish but the superman from caribbean did the trick as he pushed Hardik Pandya deep into the crease with his pace that forced an error from the batsman who hit the stumps with his bat.

A captain’s knock from Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma loves playing against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has always scored mountains of runs against them and today was no different except for the fact that the conditions were demanding. The humidity was at its peak and Rohit Sharma played till 18 overs of Mumbai Indians’s innings and scored 80 runs from 54 balls.

He picked up an hamstring injury in the process and struggled a bit towards the end. He didn’t even take part in the field for first few overs while fielding as Kieron Pollard was the stand-in captain in the absence of Rohit Sharma. MI had set a target of 196 for KKR in their 20 overs.
