• CSK’s strong force, the spin department has been pretty ordinary this season. Both Jadeja and Chawla are expensive and are inconsistent.
• Kedar Jadhav has been a disaster so far. He is not scoring enough runs and is even wasting balls even when the required rate goes over 10.

Kings XI Punjab:

• Weak middle order. If either of Mayank or Rahul don’t fire, they are in very serious trouble. They would need timely support from Maxwell and Sarfaraz.
• KXIP’s death bowling is pretty ordinary. They haven’t been able to find the right man for the death overs.

Even after coming off a 6 days break, MS Dhoni’s CSK didn’t seem to be in good shape whatsoever in the last match. They once again failed miserably in the power play and that slow start affected their chances in the last phase of the innings. If still no changes or improvements are made in that front, they stand no chance against KXIP. CSK has also been guilty of not using the batting strength of Sam Curran to full effect. The likes of Kedar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja batting ahead of him in a run chase with more than 10rpo required makes no sense whatsoever. Despite all these, CSK is not expected to make any big changes to their eleven.

KXIP on the other hand had been guilty of throwing away matches from winning positions. Despite performing well with the bat, they have won only just one game. This is mainly due to their terrible bowling at the death and lack of contribution from the rest of the batsmen except, Mayank and Rahul.
