Wasim Akram, commonly known as Waz or Sultan of swing is one of the greatest players of Pakistan cricket. Born in Lahore, Wasim made his international debut came against New Zealand in Auckland on 25th January 1985 and ODI debut came against New Zealnd in Faislabad on 23 november 1984. Wasim is an expert cricket commentator but he had never played T20I cricket because he retired in 2003 and T20 format came into existence in 2006. He got married in 1995 but in 2009 his wife passed away due to multiple organ failure in Chennai later on he again married to a lady who was his rumored girlfriend in 2013.
There has been an accusation of ball tampering on him, but it was cleared due to lack of evidence. Later on, the incident was addressed with the committee which eventually introduced reverse swing which was mistakenly considered as ball tampering by English batsmen. Wasim was also accused of getting involved in a match-fixing but was later on given the benefit of the doubt.
