Wasim Jaffer was recently involved in a caste based controversy. He was allegedly blamed by the CAU (Cricket Association of Uttarakhand) members to spread religious rift amongst the players. He was also accused of rendering favouritism on communal grounds. Jaffer, however, strictly defied all the allegations against him and stepped down from the post of Uttarakhand coach. He also took a break for a while from social media.
