IND vs ENG: The 5th Test and final test between India and England is scheduled to be played at Old Trafford in Manchester starting today. There were some murmurs of India forfeiting the Test as India physio tested positive for Covid. However, the match is set to go ahead after all India team members tested negative. The visitors are leading the 5 match Test series 2-1.
Unlike the previous Test, the Rain Gods do not seem to be kind. The sun will rarely make an appearance today. There is a 40-50% chance of rain before midday which will only increase as the evening progresses. There is a good chance of a spell or two of rain.
The temperatures will barely touch the twenties. The winds will be light and the humidity will hover around 50-60%
Team India made it two wins in two at the London venues. Trailing by a substantial 99 runs after the first innings, India bounced back to win the Oval Test by 157 runs. Mohammed Shami should walk back into the starting XI after recovering from a niggle. However, there is a huge doubt over the participation of Ajinkya Rahane. Will he get another chance to salvage his faltering career?

England will surely ring in changes in the final test. Mark Wood seems most likely to replace Craig Overton. Jos Buttler is also back in the squad and might come in for Jonny Bairstow. Will Joe Root continue his superb form and cross 600 runs in the series?
