Hardik Pandya IPL 2022 Team – Hardik Pandya burst into the scene in 2015 through Indian Premier League. He was celebrated widely mainly for the skillset and the balance he brings to the table for a team. He has represented only Mumbai Indians in his IPL career so far.
The star all rounder was released by his former franchise Mumbai Indians ahead of the auction and he was picked in the pre auction draft by one of the 2 new franchise in Gujarat Titans for 15 crores and for the first time in his IPL career he would be captaining a franchise as he has been appointed to lead Gujarat Titans .
Mumbai Indians scouted him and played Hardik Pandya in the 2015 IPL for the first time. He has gone from strength to strength since then although the last one and a half years were not kind on him as he has been hit by injuries continuously which has left him out of the Indian team.
Hardik Pandya is an excellent hitter of spin bowling and his stats say the same.
Hardik Pandya has an excellent strike rate against pacers and that’s what his role demands in T20s where he should start whacking the pacers from word go.
Though Hardik Pandya’s economy rate is on the higher side, he has the knack of picking wickets with the ball and can be a very useful support pacer and a sixth bowler to a team if managed properly.
Hardik Pandya had his best IPL seasons in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He was a dream with the bat and was constantly chipping in with wickets with the ball.
After having such tremendous years, his 2021 stats were awful, mainly due to the fact that he was not fully fit and lost his form with the bat very badly.
There is a massive drop in numbers when compared to previous seasons. Hardik Pandya, being the captain of his side, would be hoping to lead from the front by finding his lost touch with the bat in IPL 2022.
