Perth Scorchers playing 11: Perth Scorchers meant business in the very first game of the season after defeating a strong Sydney Sixers by 38 runs. They are an intimidating side at this level, they are the defending champions. They have a pace bowling attack that is of international quality when it comes to their home conditions. Their batting was a bit rusty to start with, but they ended up scoring a decent target that their bowlers could defend in the end. Their overseas opening pair looked vulnerable in the previous match but they both have played plenty of T20s and are extremely experienced.
