ODI format is his best format and he has proved that with some consistent scores in the recent past. That century in the 2nd match will go down as one of the brilliant centuries in South African soil while chasing.
The destructive southpaw is a run machine when it comes to ODIs. He has sound numbers and is one of the best options for vice captain in small leagues.
He could have got another century in the 2nd game with the way he was batting. He was striking the ball so beautifully and is fresh from a magnificent century in the first match.
There is no guarantee that he would be in the playing 11 when the likes of Joe Root Nd Jonny Bairstow return to the side. He needs to make the most of the opportunities that he is getting.
