David Warner IND vs AUS: The important news development coming from the visiting Australian team is that their senior opening batsman David Warner was not available for selection in the fourth and final Test match against Australia being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After losing the first two Test matches, Australia made a fine comeback with a brilliant 9-wicket victory over India in the third Test match and with this victory, the Aussies also managed to qualify for the finals of the ICC World Test Championship. The Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 four-match Test series currently stands at 2-1 in favour of the Indian side.

IND vs AUS: Why is David Warner Not Playing Today’s India vs Australia 4th Test?

Australia’s premier opener David Warner suffered a concussion and a fracture on his elbow during the first innings of the second Test match in Delhi which subsequently ruled him out for the remainder of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The left-hander was struck on the left elbow by Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj and did not came out to bat in the second innings of the Delhi Test match. However, Warner did not had the best of the series with the bat either in India as he managed to score just 26 runs in three innings. On the other hand, Australia took a brave decision by promoting Travis Head above the order and he smashed scores of 43 and 49 not out in the second and third Test respectively.
