Super Kings were powered in the end to a good total, thanks a blistering knock from Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored 92 off just 50 deliveries who looked in full flow. Super Kings felt they were at least 10-15 runs short as they couldn’t find a good finish at the backend. Rajvardhan Hangargekar was the pick of the bowler, snared 3 wickets but he didn’t have much help from the other side as Titans went past that target with four deliveries to spare.
Lucknow Super Giants on the other hand were up against a belligerent Delhi Capitals in their first game. Super Giants were brilliant in their first game. After losing early wickets, Kyle Mayers brought up his maiden IPL fifty which they rode to put up a massive total on the board. Delhi Capitals were rattled by Mark Wood in the run chase as he finished with a five-for as Capitals are annihilated by Super Giants.

Ruturaj Gaikwad lit the stage on fire in the first game, he almost single handedly took Super Kings to a brilliant total but he didn’t have a good company. Ruturaj’s 92 set the game up for the Super Kings and they’ll like him to continue doing that in the season.
Devon Conway is a brilliant opening batter across all formats for New Zealand. Conway missed out on a beauty by Shami in the last game but if Super Kings are to do well, they need Conway to do better than what he’s been for Super Kings. His contributions up top will help set up the game and then Super Kings bowlers can come into play.

Mark Wood with his fiery pace demolishes the opposition. Wood in the last game was sensational, he picked up his first five-for in IPL and Delhi Capitals were blown away by his sheer pace. Wood will be key for the amount of games he’s going to be part of for Super Giants.
