In a crucial news development, West Indies’ premier wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran is not playing the ongoing three-match ODI series against India at home. Hosts West Indies ended up suffering a comprehensive 5-wicket defeat at the hands of India in the first ODI match and are now 0-1 down in the three-match ODI series. The India vs West Indies 2nd ODI match is scheduled to begin on 29 July, 2023 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
