Following the conclusion of the 1st T20I match of the 4-match T20I series on August 30, England and New Zealand are all set to face each other on September 1 for the second T20I match. The second game of the series will be played at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, UK.
The first game ended in a very one-sided affair which saw England race to their paltry target of 140 in just 14 overs. The Kiwis scored at a very subdued rate and were jolted by a fall of wickets at regular intervals. Luke Wood and Brydon Carse did the bulk of the damage for England picking up 6 wickets in total to put the shackles on New Zealand’s scoring rate. In the end, Harry Brook and Dawid Malan made a meal of the chase and smashed brilliant scores of 43 (27) and 54 (42) to get to their required target with 6 overs to spare.
