In the race to secure a spot in the WBBL 2019 final, Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Sixers will lock horns at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney on Saturday morning. The winner will advance into the final and will compete for the title against the winner of Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat.
Sydney Sixers finished at the top of the ladder with ten wins in fourteen encounter while Renegades ended at fourth spot with seven wins and six defeats in fourteen outings. Both the sides are likely to feature with their full strength and are one win away from playing the finals. The final of the tournament will be played on January 26, Saturday while the venue is not yet decided.
Both the sides have locked horns twice in this edition and each time Sixers have turned out to be the winner. Both the sides first met at Sydney Cricket Ground where the Sixers registered 7 wickets in a low scoring affair. In the second encounter at Geelong, Sixers registered 29 runs win after successfully defending 136 runs on the board.
