RCB vs KKR Playerzpot Prediction IPL Preview, Team News, Playing 11

If it was Kagiso Rabada who dismissed Andre Russell in the super over to hand over a defeat to the Kolkata Knight Riders, it was Shreyas Gopal who scripted a win for Rajasthan Royals against Royal Challengers Bangalore to keep them deserted on the bottom. Coming off defeats in their respective last clashes, KKR and RCB fight it out at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to get back to winning ways on Friday. Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to register their maiden win the tournament while Kolkata Knight Riders have won two of their three matches and are currently seated at the fourth position on the points table.

After being bowled out for 70 in the opening encounter against Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore are still a team in waiting to get a win under their belt. Their last match against Rajasthan Royals saw them crumble where none of their batsmen barring Parthiv Patel was able to cross the 50-run mark. Talking about their bowling, only Yuzvendra Chahal was handy with the ball as he returned two wickets at an economy of 4.25.

For KKR, on the other hand, are sailing relatively smoother backing on some hard-hitting of Andre Russell. Likes of Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa have also fared well with the ball for the Knight Riders. The statistics of this Chinnaswamy favour KKR as the RCB have suffered three losses against KKR at this venue. Will they be able to turn things around this time?

Unfortunate that Virat and AB de Villiers got out in quick succession: Ashish Nehra

“You can’t make 200 batting first every time. This wicket certainly wasn’t a 200 one. Unfortunately, Virat (Kohli) and AB (de Villiers) got out in quick succession. We had a good start and then those wickets in the middle overs didn’t help us.

It was a topsy-turvy kinda game against Delhi Capitals: Dinesh Karthik

I think it was a great game, both teams fought pretty well. It went to the Super over and they came out on top. I think Prasidh has been bowling consistently for us at the death, it was a straight forward decision to make. And I think he bowled really well. He has been bowling the tough overs, so we need to back him. It was a topsy-turvy kinda game.

Short boundaries and high altitude make the Chinnaswamy track favourable for batsmen who enjoy batting on these pitches in the limited-overs formats. Many big scores have been posted and chased down with ease here.

Fantasy Picks Royal Challengers Bangalore

  • Mr 360 AB de Villiers and Run machine Virat Kohli have failed to fire with their bats so far but both of them can turn things around for RCB if they click.
  • Parthiv Patel anchored the innings for RCB in the last match as he scored 67 runs off 41 balls to take his total to a fighting total. You can pick him in your fantasy team too.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal is the current purple cap holder with 8 wickets. He is a good fantasy pick any day.
