Sri Lanka and Pakistan both started their World Cup Campaign losing to New Zealand and Windies respectively. Both teams were lackluster against their opponents, going all-out before even playing 30 of the 50 overs.

Despite their disappointing loss, Pakistan bounced back and surprised everyone after they won their match against the hosts, England, defeating them by 14 runs, courtesy of Pakistan’s top order, which looked quite sturdy compared to their last game.

Sri Lanka, despite having won versus Afghanistan in their second match, was very shaky while batting. They looked very composed, going 92-0 after which they started to crumble, losing all wickets in the next 109 runs, putting up a score of 201. They were still able to win the game, but looking at their brittle batting lineup, they might not be able to hold up against stronger teams in their upcoming matches.
