ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 favourites England dealt huge blow ahead of Windies clash on Thursday. It concerns their star wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler.

Buttler dealt with a “heavy bruising” on his right hip while batting and did not take the field against Bangladesh at Cardiff on June 8.

Jos Buttler is a crucial part of England batting as he is third highest run-getter in World Cup 2019 having 185 runs in 3 matches at a decent mean of 61.67.

Management hopeful of earliest recovery

The batsman with his amazing big hitting ability is “responding well to treatment” on his hip injury but his availability for the clash against the Windies is still doubtful.

“We anticipate he will train with the rest of the squad at the Hampshire Bowl on Wednesday ahead of the match against West Indies on Friday.”

The 28-year-old scored a spectacular century in England’s 14-run loss against Pakistan and contributed a brisk 64 off 44 balls against Bangladesh.

During Bangladesh game, Buttler was spotted to be in a little concern after he hit Mosaddek Hossain for a hefty six that was quite lengthy which went out of the stadium.
