  • Despite featuring in the AFCON Finals in 2018, Josephine Chukwunonye has been dropped from Nigeria’s World Cup squad. Thus, Osinachi Ohale is expected to play at the left-back.

  • Nigeria head coach Thomas Dennerby took a bold decision for the 2nd game, dropping first choice keeper Tochukwu Oluehi to the bench, and replaced her with 18-year-old Chiamaka Nnadozie. The teenager didn’t disappoint her coach as she looked calm and composed and should start in goal here.
  • Nigeria issued a statement regarding Centre-back Faith Michael that she won’t be featuring in the world cup after who picking up an injury in Game-1 against Norway.
