It was Trea Turner who set things in motion with a leadoff walk in the first. Max Muncy hit a double and allowed Turner to reach home base. Muncy touched the third base on Mookie Bets‘ fly ball and made it 2-0 on Cory Seager‘s hit. Dodgers scored one run in the seventh inning to make it 3-3.
But Chris Taylor broke the tie with a two-run double in the 8th inning as the Dodgers won 5-3.

It’s worth mentioning the Dodgers’ bullpen, Alex Vesia, Phil Bickford, Brusdar Graterol and Kenley Jansen, with the four managing seven strikeouts in just four innings, allowing just two hits.
Graterol in particular deserves more praise after producing perhaps the most clutch play. He came out of a jam in the 8th inning. The Angels had two runners on the first and second base, but Graterol struck out both, including two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani.
