Former India cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi has slammed India captain Virat Kohli for his conduct during the second Test between Australia and India. Bedi also advised Virat to be respectful of the game which has made him what he is today.
The former India leggie was clearly unhappy with Kohli’s behaviour and expressed his dissent on Twitter.
In a tweet posted after the second Test, Bedi said, ‘Just thinking..& chuckling to myself…had @imVkohli played in ‘our’ times..& behaved similarly..he would have ended up facing more ‘inquiry’ Committees than I ever did.!! Even so it’s never too late to be respectful to cricket which has made him what he is today-Think it over..!’

The India captain is known for his aggressive and animated behavior on the field. During the first Test, his animated celebrations came under the radar while in the second Test, his confrontation with Aussie captain Tim Paine made the headlines.
The fact that India succumbed to a massive defeat added to Kohli’s woes and he garnered criticism.
Former Aussie bowler Mitchell Johnson too has slammed the Indian captain in a column he wrote for a newspaper.

He said that at the end of the match, you should be able to look each other in the eyes, shake hands and say great contest.
But according to Johnson, Virat Kohli could not do that with Tim Paine, shaking the Australian captain’s hand but barely making eye contact with him and Johnson says for him that is disrespectful.
He feels Kohli gets away with more than most cricketers simply because he is Virat Kohli and he gets placed on a pedestal but Johnson feels the Perth Test left the Indian captain looking silly.
