Have done research on PAK team: Mandhana
Indian opening batter Smriti Mandhana has revealed that the Indian team has done their research on Pakistan cricket team and she wants to give her 100% for the game against Pakistan which will be played on Sunday in the ICC’s women’s world T20I.
Mandhana wants to repeat the performance against Pakistan
Indian team kick started their world cup campaign in style by defeating New Zealand in the first game.
Mandhana is hopeful that the team will repeat this performance against Pakistan. She revealed that the team has done their research on the Pakistan team, but she also made it clear that there is no single player and they have done research on all 15 players.
She noted that the way they played against New Zealand, they would like to put up the same show against Pakistan.
Want to give my 100%: Mandhana
The Indian opener also stated that she wants to give her 100 per cent in every match and that is the only aim she has.
According to the India cricketer, if she thinks about expectations then she won’t be able to perform, which she didn’t do in the last match. So it’s better for her not to put pressure on herself and just enjoy the game.
Mandhana explains team’s learning from last game
At the same time Mandhana spoke about the lessons Indian team has learnt from the match against New Zealand.
She observed that from every win, they have to take their points out. For the Powerplay, she thinks that they didn’t get the kind of start they expect they batters to give and personally she admits she didn’t bat the way she does.
From the bowlers point of view, the Indian vice-captain feels that they could have restricted New Zealand below 150 and that would have been great for them. She added that these are the things they will be working on in their next game.
